These cracks are caused mostly by water damage near the foundation, causing the stem wall to sink, ultimately, causing the interior slabs to rise at the fracture points. These fractures and damage can crack tile, and pull up wood flooring and laminate floors. Installing wood flooring, tile or laminate on these floors, will take large floor grinding and floor leveling equipment. Self-Leveling
Self-leveling flooring systems are more likely to give you a flat surface. Self-leveling compounds are polymer-modified cement that’s typically used to create a flat, smooth surface with compressive strength. It is used as an underlayment or overlayment for many types of floor coverings requiring a flat surface, including sheet vinyl, vinyl composition tile, ceramic tile, carpet, and wood flooring.
